Cody Cappel, APRN-CNP, is a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner. After receiving a Master of Science in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University, Cody graduated from Northern Kentucky University’s Psychology Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate program. Cody spends his free time outdoors and with his family and pets.

What is a Certified Nurse Practitioner?
A certified nurse practitioner is a licensed provider that has completed a master's or doctoral degree program and has advanced clinical training. They work in collaboration with physicians to diagnose and treat health conditions. Like physicians, they can make referrals, provide physical exams, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications.
