Philosophy of Care
“I believe that nurse practitioners have a responsibility to the public to provide safe, holistic, patient-centered, and culturally sensitive care. Nurse practitioners respect patients’ rights and encourage patients to engage in their own care by empowering them through education. I plan to provide compassionate, holistic care based on health promotion, evidenced based education, primary prevention and holistic care. I always strive to meet and exceed the expectations of my patients. I know that patients are more than a diagnosis and treatment, they are all special people and I will incessantly try to help them live their healthiest, best life.”
What is a Certified Nurse Practitioner?
A certified nurse practitioner is a licensed provider that has completed a master's or doctoral degree program and has advanced clinical training. They work in collaboration with physicians to diagnose and treat health conditions. Like physicians, they can make referrals, provide physical exams, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications.
