Sameh Khouzam, MD is a highly-skilled electrophysiologist serving the Kettering and surrounding community. Dr. Khouzam graduated from the Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt and went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic and his Cardiology and Electrophysiology fellowships at Brown University. Dr. Khouzam's commitment to his patients mirrors the network’s mission to improve the quality of life of the people in the communities we serve.
SCOPE OF SERVICE
Arrhythmias including supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter. Inherited arrhythmia disorders. Syncope. Heart failure and cardiomyopathy. Coronary artery disease. Intracardiac device implants and management (pacemakers, defibrillators, biventricular devices, loop recorder, leadless pacemakers, subcutaneous defibrillators). Ablation of all arrhythmias including cryo and radiofrequency ablation.
Dr. Khouzam offers the Watchman™ procedure that reduces the risk of stroke in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation. This procedure eliminates the need for long-term use of anticoagulants (blood thinners).
