Kettering Physician Network and the Kettering Cancer Care team welcome E. Ronald Hale, MD, MPH, Network Medical Director for Radiation Oncology. Dr. Hale has more than 23 years of highly specialized experience in the specialties of Radiation Oncology, as well as Public Health and Preventive Medicine. He is board-certified in Radiation Oncology. His collaboration with the Network enhances the Radiation Oncology Program as an integral component of the Kettering Cancer Center.
His career in Dayton began at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in 2005, after losing nearly everything to Hurricane Katrina, including his home and practice location, while stationed at Keesler AFB on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He subsequently designed and supervised the construction of the 88th Medical Group Cancer Care Center, and served as its first director until his retirement in 2011 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, culminating 24 years of Air Force service.

HONORS AND AWARDS
As President, Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society, Montgomery County unit from 2008-2011, he was instrumental in maintaining operations during a particularly difficult economic time. For that he was awarded the American Cancer Society Leadership Award in 2011. Dr. Hale is currently a Medical Director for Evicore Healthcare, headquartered in Bluffton, SC. He is the author of many peer-reviewed journal articles and contributed to various books.
