Herbert Newton, MD, FAAN, board-certified Neuro-Oncologist and Neurologist, joins Kettering Physician Network with more than 27 years of highly specialized experience in the fields of Neuro-Oncology and Neurology. Dr. Newton earned his medical degree from State University of New York, Buffalo School of Medicine, and completed his residency at University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor, MI and is fellowship trained in Neuro-Oncology from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, NY. His primary focus is diagnosis, treatment, and highly skilled medical care of adult and adolescent patients with tumors of the brain or spinal cord, and complications of brain tumors, specifically epilepsy. Dr. Newton specializes in the use of chemotherapy and molecular therapeutics. Prior to joining the Network, Dr. Newton developed one of the first neuro-oncology programs in Ohio. His experience and highly specialized expertise is pivotal to the development of the Kettering Cancer Center Neuro-Oncology Program, opening 2016.
