Dr. Calvert Busch specializes in cardiology with an interest in diagnostic cardiology with particular emphasis in valvular heart disease and transesophageal echocardiography. He received his undergraduate degree at the College of St. Thomas and his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his internship and medical residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin as well as a portion of his cardiology fellowship. He served as a US Army cardiologist at Martin Army Hospital in Georgia. He completed his cardiology fellowship at Duke University Hospitals before joining the cardiology staff at the VA Hospital in Ashville, North Carolina, where he served as the director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory and participated in the VA Valvular Cooperative Heart Study. Dr. Busch is Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 1973 and Cardiovascular Disease since 1989.
